2001 InterClub Midwinters - Final Notice Of Race

February 10-11, 2001

Organizing Authority: Annapolis InterClub Fleet and the Severn Sailing Association

Hosting Club: Severn Sailing Association, 311 First Street, Annapolis MD

Rules: The regatta will be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 1997-2000 (as modified Jan 1, 1999), the prescriptions of US SAILING, except as modified by the prescriptions of the IC Technical Regulations for the InterClub Dinghy Class, effective April 20, 1997, and the Sailing Instructions. The following rules are in effect for the regatta:

  1. The regatta will be sailed as an A/B division event. Separate A and B division skippers and crews are required.
  2. 2. All competitors shall wear life jackets at all times while on the water except for brief periods of time when clothing is being added or removed from under the life jacket.
  3. Bow numbers are required for each yacht. Bow numbers shall match the sail number. If two yachts have the same "bow\sail" numbers, the yacht whose actual hull number matches that "bow/sail" number shall display that number. The bow number shall be placed within 1 foot of the bow stem, be at least 10 inches in height, and be of contrasting color to be hull.
  4. On the water judges may be used to enforce RRS 42 (Propulsion).

Advertising: This regatta is classified as a Category A event (Appendix G3).

Late entries will be required to pay an additional late fee of $5/division ($10 total). Entries must be post-marked by January 31, 2001 to avoid the late fee. Late entries will be accepted until 9:00 am February 10, with the additional late fee. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. The entry fee includes the following:

2001 IC Midwinters "Inter-Club" Boat Loaning Program: Historically, the IC was conceived to be a boat that sailors from different clubs could jump into at a regatta without having to bring there own boat - thus the name "Inter-Club". In keeping with that notion, the Annapolis InterClub Fleet is pleased to again offer our "Inter-Club Boat Loaning Program" for the 2001 IC Midwinters. We want to make the decision to come to our regatta an easy one. We will have a number of very competitive ICs for members from other IC fleets to use. Participation procedure:

  1. Register for the regatta. Entry fee must be paid to reserve a boat.
  2. Contact Jesse Falsone (jessefalsone@hotmail.com) for a boat. The best boats will be loaned on a first-come, first served basis.
  3. If you want to fly down, we will pick you up at the airport and provide housing. Flights from Providence to BWI are cheap!
  4. We will shuttle you back to the airport on Sunday, Feb 6 after racing. Attempt to make flights AFTER 6 pm.
  5. We will NOT reserve a boat for you unless your registration is complete. Out-of-town IC sailors will be given first crack at boats. Other interested sailors from the Annapolis/ Baltimore/DC area can put there name in with Jesse Falsone to get left-over boats. Any boat not already loaned by Feb 4, 2001 is free game to all. A list of available boats and a description will be available on the 2001 IC Midwinters Web site.
