TC Members in attendance representing seven fleets:

1. John Pratt presented a centerboard plan profile that represented the compilation of his original plan profile and Neil Fowler's plan profile both of which were drawn from the Sparkman and Stephens Interclub dinghy centerboard table of offsets. The presented plan profile reconciled the very small differences in Neil's and John's original plans, those differences where less than 0.5 millimeter. Where there were any discrepancies between the tow original plans the presented plan used the largest dimension of each of the two original plans.

   A motion was mad to accept the presented plan as the "approved plan" for constructing measurement jigs. The motion was seconded; the motion was approved unanimously. Two copies of the plan were distributed to each fleet represented. Two copies will be mailed to those fleets not in attendance.

   The Scituate fleet will pay the reprographic cost out of this year's national's revenues.

2. John Pratt noted that Sparkman and Stephens has a full size rudder profile plan on file.

3. A brief discussion was held regarding the bow tip weight and the following points were made. This is the most contentious rule of the class and we need to find a replacement that addresses the original purpose but is easy to comply by and measure:
   • It is currently part of the Class rules via the technical regulations therefore this measurement can not be waved at the National Championships.
   • The rule was originally introduced to dissuade a builder from making a boat with a Very light bow.
   • It is difficult create a jig for the measurement and therefore difficult to obtain a repeatable measurement at each nationals.
   • Anecdotal observations of various boat types and the required locations of corrector weights.
   • Guck boats typically require correctors to be located at the mainsheet block or at the center thwart
   • Vanguard boats typically require correctors to be located at the center thwart.
   • The boat that won the nationals this year carried corrector weights located at the center thwart.
